tips for this Ramadhan [taken from somewhere]

AVOID

  • Fried & fatty foods.
  • Foods containing too much sugar.
  • Over eating , especially at Sahur.
  • Too much caffeinated drinks at Sahur. Tea & coffee make you pass more urine, taking with it valuable mineral salts that your body will need during the day.
  • Cigarette. If you cannot give up smoking, cut down gradually, starting a few weeks before Ramadhan. 
EAT
  • Complex carbohydrates at Sahur so that the food last longer, making you less hungry
  • Dates are excellent sources of sugar, fiber carbohydrates, potassium & magnesium
  • Almonds are rich in protein & fiber with less fat
  • Bananas are a good source of potassium, magnesium & carbohydrates
DRINKS
  • As much water or pure juices as possible between Buka Puasa & bedtime so that your body can adjust fluid level in time.
  • Aim to drink at least 1.2 - 1.5 liters of fluid
